Everyone is unique. That’s what makes life so interesting and fun! When someone is terminally unique, life is decidedly less so. Terminal uniqueness is when someone feels like no one else could ever understand what they are going through. “It” is only happening to them. No one else has ever been through this. Terminal uniqueness actually them us feeling both special…and more alone. It isolates them from the truth, that many people have been through “it.” Remembering that many people have has felt this way or experienced something similar can help you feel more at peace, more connected to others, and inspire hope and confidence that you will find a way through “it.”
